UV - PC POLYCARBONATE Solid Sheet
UNIKO PC solid sheet possesses the feature of good light transmission, excellent weather resistance, excellent temperature resistance, flame retardant, super strong impact resistance, good soundp insulation, portability, durable and ect.
Features of polycarbonate sheet:
1. Good light transmission
- Light transmittance of PC solid sheet is up to 88%
2. Excellent weather resistance
- Co-extruded UV protective layer on the surface can block the ultraviolet ray pass through the sheet. It makes the sheet not easily become aged or yellow. thereby greatly extend the life of sheet.The effect is more obvious in areas with strong ultraviolet ray.
3. Excellent temperature resistance
- Between -40ºC to 120 ºC. It will not become deformed and will not appear any obvious quality degradation of mechanical properties.
4. Flame resistance
- It belongs to Grade-B flame retardant by GB8624-2006 test.it will extinguish automatically when it is away from the fire.
5. Super-strong Impact resistance
- The impact strength of PC solid sheet is 250 to 300 times stronger than the common glass with the same thickness, 30 times strongerthan acrylic sheet, 2 times stronger than toughened glass. It is a superior quality material for bulletproof glass.
6.Good sound insulation
- The noise can be effectively reduced.
7.Portability
- Light in weight, Density of PC solid sheet is only half of that from general glass. It is easy to be loaded,unloaded and installed.which help
save cost of transportation and frame support.

UNIKO Polycarbonate Sheet use as skylight for public building,industrial building and residential building,canopy roof,carport,sunshine house,stadium roof,swimming pool cover,waiting room roof of railway station,bus station and airport, shop corridor, hotel atrium,greenhouse,sound barrier walls for free way and urban viaduct,advertising light boxes,interior partition or screen decoration and so on.
Installation Instructions
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS OF UV-PC SHEET
1. Installation by inserting
a.Cut off 5~10mm wide of inserted protective film before PC sheet are inserted.
b.It must leave suitable quantity inserted, the space allowing their expanding or shrinking with the change of temperature and right
thickness of PC sheet.
2. Installation by screws
a. Enlarge the aperture of any bolt or rivet much be enlarged to allow PC sheet expanding or shrinking with change of temperature.
Generally, the aperture shall be 50% bigger than the diameter of bolt. Use aluminum rivet. Self-drilling screw must be abandoned.
b.Use silica gel to fill all apertures and cover their exposing parts to prevent PC sheet from map cracking by cleanser which may
inserted in apertures.
c.The head of rivet should be 1.5~2.0 times bigger that the stem.Use gasket to fill between PC sheet and rivet head to prevent PC
sheet getting directs pressure from rivet head, then lessen their pressure in this way.
d.Don't tighten screw too much in case stress may cause stress.
e.Don't use PVC gasket and water-proof adhesive tape with asphalt content.
f.Fix the metal pressing strip on long and short edges of PC sheet.Remain a space for their expanding, Strengthen installation stability.(see
the following drawing for the exact installation)
